and place "Def Jam 2000" in the SERIES category.


"Def Jam 2000" was a promotional/brand recognition campaign that was launched
by Def Jam Music Group in 1998 in celebration of and preparation for the incoming
new millennium. The corresponding futuristically-themed logo was subsequently
used (mainly in the U.S.) as the default Def Jam logo for virtually all Def Jam
releases from the Spring of 1999 -- directly after the acquisition of its
parent company PolyGram by Universal Music was finalized --
all the way through to the end of the year 2000.
