Exploding from the apathy that was the Portsmouth music scene in 1984, Paul Groovy & The Pop Art Experience, set the South Coast ablaze ,mixing their love of 60s garage and 70s punk into a heady maelstrom of fuzz and feedback. They supported TV Personalities The Cannibals, The Prisoners, Mighty Lemon Drops, Shop Assistants and The Primitives as well as playing their own headline gigs. The songs on this limited edition slice of Pop Art Punk grooves were first released as a cassette album (remember them?!) called "Lets Crash The Blue Bus" on Bite Back Records in 1986.Airplay from John Peel, Janice Long and Annie Nightingale soon ensured that these songs would become cult classics.Detour Records are thrilled to mark the 35th anniversary of that release with this limited edition 10" Black vinyl pressing, which also sees 5 of the songs appearing on vinyl for the very first time.
