After a longer creative break, German electronic music performer Stephen Parsick presents the tenth album of his musical enterprise, ['ramp], in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the very first ['ramp] concert in 1997. While the music Parsick releases under his own name gravitates more towards experimental drone and dark ambient music, ['ramp] is more firmly rooted in Berlin's electronic subculture of the 1970s. Drawing heavily from the use of old-fashioned step sequencers, vintage synthesisers from the days of yore, classic analogue keyboards, as well as Mellotron and Rhodes piano, Parsick creates mesmerizing music without employing MIDI, let alone computers. Handmade electronic music by one of Germany's biggest vintage synthesiser enthusiasts, originally released on Parsick's own label doombient.music, now available on audiophile 12" double vinyl in collaboration with Adansonia Records. The album contains a download code that offers an additional bonus track. Limited to 250 copies on orange/black marbled vinyl.
