Albert & Gage

This collection of songs by South Dakota songwriter, Tom Peterson (written thirty years ago and largely untouched for the last couple of decades), sound tailor-made for this Austin duo. Christine Albert and Chris Gage wrap their voices around the ballads, blues, country, swing and bluegrass that grace this album. Gages instrumental chops are well known through his work as a producer and sideman (Roy Clark, Jimmie DaleGilmore, Jerry Jeff Walker, Slaid Cleaves) and Albert and Gage are joined here by some equally hot players - Lloyd Maines on pedal steel, Mike Stevens on harmonica and Kenny Putnam on fiddle. The music is pure Americana and Albert and Gage deliver it with the integrity and care that these great songs deserve.
