Portland's Bad Assets play original whiskey drenched, roots rockin party country music. Singer/Songwriter Motor Jeffries envisioned the project back in 2007 or so and recruited Ben Cosloy (lead guitar), Kevin Marcotte (bass, vocals) and Damon Rose (drums). The band soon picked up where Motor's previousproject (Party Country) left off. They've since honed their particular brand of "Party Country", this time generally focusing on songs about drinkin'. The sophomore release Poncho, features songs penned by both Jeffries and Marcotte but written as a band--tight, distilled. Bad Assets has graced many stages over the years throughout the Northwest from corporate events to weddings, outdoor festivals, block parties, line dance clubs and plenty of taverns. I should mention they are all quite good looking, but then again, "beauty is in the eye of the Beerholder."
