BO DIDDLEY (1928-2008) became world famous not only for his self-designed rectangular guitar, which was based on the D.I.Y. cigar box guitars of poor blues musicians. His unmistakably syncopated rhythm touch is world-famous as bo DIDDLEY beat, his songs were played by other later world-famous artists, his guitar touch was picked up by acts such as THE WHO, THE KINKS, THE YARDBIRDS or the ROLLING STONES. The 28 songs presented here, written between 1955 and 1963, begin with 14 times Mr. DIDDLEY himself, followed by another 14 DIDDLEY songs, performed by colleagues such as LITTLE WALTER, JOHNNY OTIS, THE MARQUEES, DON STACEY, BILLY STEWART, JOHNNY KIDD and others.
