You can finally get the long awaited first album. This trio from Cordoba, Andalucia, is responsible for the greatest album of the year. With frontman Ben Thirkettle, an englishman from Oxford, writing all the songs, and playing guitar and singing, the band could be considered British, but in fact there's a clear Spanish influence all along the album. You can hear echoes of The Walker Brothers, Marc Bolan, David Bowie, Syd Barrett and the Soft Boys, all spiced with proverbial Spanish subjects like "emotion", "rawness" and "passion".
