When six of the most prominent alternative Polish artists join their forces, you know something extraordinary must come out of it. Two talented producers and musicians Bodek Pezda and Slawomir Leniart and popular singers started playing together as Heart & Soul in 2012. They earned much of their renown thanks to the record issued three years ago, a thrilling tribute to Joy Division. In 2012 they recorded a daring EP in co-operation with the American songwriter Rykarda Parasol. Bodek and Slawek used to play in Agressivie 69. They used to be forerunners of industrial rock in Poland and the first ones to use sampling in Polish music production. Patti Yang also draws inspiration from the legacy of postpunk basing on the darkness found in those sounds in order to create a proprietary version of trip hop. So does Bela Komoszynska the frontwoman of the unique band Sorry Boys. And finally we hear the warm psychedelic notes in the performance of Lukasz Lach, a distinctive voice of alternative L.Stadt.
