The second installment from NoBusiness Records' collaboration with Japan's Chap Chap label features trumpeter Itaru Oki in a rare live recording from January 1996 at CafοΏ½ Amores in Japan, accompanied by bassist Nobuyoshi Ino and guest Korean trumpeter Choi Sun Bae. Oki, a pioneer of Japanese free jazz, delivers a dynamic performance blending lyricism and adventurous improvisation, with influences from Miles Davis to experimental soundscapes. The interplay between the two trumpeters and the inventive bass work creates a rich, captivating listening experience from the mix of original compositions and jazz standards.The CD release includes two additional tracks as the opening and closing songs.
