Jetzt were among the founding fathers of the native German Indie rock scene back in the mid and late eighties. Predecessors of the likes of Blumfeld, Die Sterne or Tocotronic, they were among the first groups of that musical style who worked with German lyrics.Disbanded back then after only a few years, Jetzt got back into the limelight when Tapete re-released their long out of print recordings on the "Libe in grossen Stdten" compilation in 2017."Wie es war" is the first new album by Jetzt mas Michael Girke, agin under the Jetzt (= "Now") moniker.German singer/songwriter music with that little special extra.
