Laurel Aitken is undisputedly one of Jamaica's "Folk Heroes". His immense creativity for the development of the original typical styles of the Island - Ska & Reggae - and it's spreading in Europe is reflected in countless singles, album and hits. On this release this 75 year old performer more than proves his well earned title as "Ska Padrino". He engaged the top notch band the Skatelites as his musicians for this 2 day studio session. In addition to the collection that was released in thee early 90's, this re-release contains three bonus tracks that could only be found on ultra rare singles so far.

All tracks were recorded during a month's visit of Laurel Aitken to Jamaica in 1963 at Ken Khouri's Federal Studio in two days. He paid for everything himself and bought the mastertapes.
