Myrkvid, the French Black Metal band is back after nearly 7 years with their 2nd full length album "Nihilist". Once again these French Bastards deliver an album in the vein of old school Black Metal entangled with some filthy Black 'n' Roll.Classic Black Metal chord riffing that switches between tremolo and fast picking supported by subtle blast beats and a punchy bass guitar. The vocals are aggressive and dominant and come best forward on the few slower moments. Throughout the album the band creates here and there room for the lead guitar to shine through the raspiness of the rhythm guitar. The music production of the album in overall is raw which brings you straight back to the mid 90's.Myrkvid wrote a record that delivers that old school 90's black metal sound. Raw, Furious, Filthy with no remorse! A record to bang your heads too in the name of the Devil!
