After four years of heavy touring with Bishop Allen and The Rosebuds, and while coping with a punishing break up, Giorgio Angelini was back in his home of Houston, TX. Starting as an open-ended hiatus from music and a venture into graduate school at Rice, it didnt take long before he started writing again. He took shelter in his home studio and produced an EP. This Distance is both an airing of grievances and a testifying of sins. In addition to the break-up, he also lost his long-time musical collaborator. Distance is, indeed, a killer. Oax isthe result. Oax will be performing this summer in Texas and NYC with a backing band including members of The Heartless Bastards
