Pampa Folks

PAMPA FOLKS, a new and exotic Parisian group, is ready to release its first Album South By West. The ten-track album is the brainchild of Thomas Lavernhe: composer, singer and leader of the Pampa Folks. They aspire to travel the world and break down barriers. They flourish through the movement of bodies and thoughts. As seen on the album cover, the Pampa Folks sound recalls the sun at its zenith above the light-filled canyons and shifting desert sands. Their debut album will be released on June 1, 2018. South by West is a title borrowed from geographical and navigational thinking, a title that recalls the Americana imagery of Quentin Tarantino and the Coen Brothers. The Pampa Folks are the band for California pop in France. Lavernhe and his band have patiently sculpted these songs for three years. The band members include Johan Barrer (drums), David Sultan (bass) and Pierre Leli�vre (keyboard).The debut EP Golden Gates, released in January 2018, gave a taste of their sound that explores the territory between sixties pop, seventies rock and cinematic music-whatever inspires these musicians to jump on a rolling train that runs through the wilderness of their imaginations. The vision of the Americana dream is the soul of this album, produced and recorded in Paris.
