This rare live duo recording between trombonist Paul Rutherford and drummer Sabu Toyozumi, released by NoBusiness Records in collaboration with Japan's Chap Chap Records, captures a thrilling 1999 performance from Japan's free jazz scene at Caf� Jumbo. Both masters of improvisation, Rutherford and Toyozumi engage in four expansive improvisations that showcase their dynamic chemistry and inventive interplay. Toyozumi's fluid, textured drumming perfectly complements Rutherford's bold trombone work, creating a vibrant exchange of ideas.
