Very limited issue of this classic '66-'68 Northern Californian collection on CD. Despite living on America's west coast, Powder's sound and style was more British. Often reminding of archetypical English bands s.a. The Who, Idle Race and Blossom Toes (first LP), the group delivered some awesome early power pop gems that at times sounded somewhat ahead of their time. So dig those catchy, melodic vocals and razor sharp guitar parts. Powder evolved out of Ray Columbus & The Art Collection, a band that's included on the CD with a number of bonus tracks. Their recodings were intended for an LP that didn't materialize back in the day. This release sets the record straight.
