'4 INTERPRETATIONS OF JAPANESE FIELD RECORDINGS' - Killing reworks of field recordings. This project was recorded in Japan, and handed over to Hiroaki OBA, Inoue Shirabe, Tim Karbon and Japan Blues for interpretation. Japan Blues takes a couple of swords and a taiko drum to task, in a dubbed techno-pop hoedown. Tim Karbon makes some Mr Fingers-esque moves, Hiroaki OBA gallops to a dancefloor climax and Inoue Shirabe evokes some fokloric mystique. 300 copies only for the world.

Led by anthropologist and label founder Fred Scharf and his Vox Populi Records crew, this is the second installment on the ‘Field Works’ series.
