The original band ,composed by well known musicians of the Italian rockabilly scene, was born in 2006. Wells Fargo & the Nightingale ( now Wheels Fargo & the Nightingale) bring on stage a wild western vintage hillbilly sound unheard in these areas. The quintet presents a choice of traditional 40's and 50's country-bluegrass tracks, filtered by their own rockabilly influence, plus some new original western style songs written by Antonella Tambakiotis (the Nightingale!) and arranged by the band. The female leading voice plus bluegrass style choruses, 2 banjos, double bass, rhythm guitar , bluegrass mandolin and washboard , characterize this original Wells Fargo & the Nightingale combo sound. Missing drums emphasize the old Dixie atmosphere with fast vintage-sounding melodies......its the ultimate stompin hillbilly frontier sound! HI-HA!
