Zack Keim/ Southside American

Issued in the Get Hip Folk Series, here are two early demorecordings from two interesting Pittsburgh-based artists. ZackKeim grew up listening to classic records by Bob Dylan and NickDrake, and also found inspiration from contemporary acts s.a.Fleet Foxes. 'Alice' was the first acoustic song he everwrote. Southside American began as the solo project ofsinger-songwriter Benjamin Sweet, but has expanded over thepast few years to include an eclectic group of area musicians.The song 'In The Dust' reminds -more or less- of a.o. Nick Drake and Elliot Smith. Edition on COLOURED VINYL.
