Innocent Exile formed in early-'80s Philadelphia, before morphing into ANVIL BITCH before the end of 1983 and eventually settling on a lineup of John Plumley (guitar), Chuck Stadulis (drums), Dave Carr (bass), and Gary Capriotti (vocals). Initially starting out performing METALLICA, SLAYER, MOTORHEAD, and EXODUS covers, the group soon began composing its own original materialinspired by not only the burgeoning thrash metal scene, but also hardcore/punk crossover such as the CRUMBSUCKERS and C.O.C.A debut four-song demo was laid down at The Sound Bank in 1985, and by the following year ANVIL BITCH had secured a deal with New Renaissance Records, resulting in an appearance on the Speed Metal Hell II compilation. The band's lone full-length, Rise To Offend, was completed at DAK Audio with Shawn Tierney and released toward the end of 1986. Positioned within the healthy Northeastern U.S. metal scene, ANVIL BITCH continued to secure their legacy with opening slots for the likes of EXODUS, KING DIAMOND, MOTORHEAD, and OVERKILL. Unfortunately, with writing for a second album underway, things fell apart in 1988 with the bulk of the members transitioning into harder-hitting thrash outfit DOMINANCE. 20 years later, ANVIL BITCH would reunite for the three-song Sanctify EP, but it remains Rise To Offend - out-of-print for over 20 years - that has truly become a sought-after cult classic in the realms of underground metal.Nearly 40 years after its original release, Divebomb Records is overwhelmingly ecstatic to finally bring to light this deluxe edition of Rise To Offend as a 22-track CD that includes the 1985 demo and complete six-song Sanctify sessions as a bonus. Fully remastered by Jamie King Audio, the disc will be packaged with a 20-page booklet jammed with photos, flyers, lyrics, and a retrospective interview with John Plumley. –

Plastic Crimewave Syndicate returns with one collective foot in overdriven space-biker scuzz rock, but the other bigfoot kicking upward into new galaxies of synth punk, no-prog, and freek funk. Yes, dare we say it, this PCWS LP, 'Tales From The Golden Skull,' GROOVES - but from the perspective of the Japan n' Kraut/Eurorock undergrounds, coated in some nasty Windy City grime. Aided by the Chicago Cosmonaut Couriers Crew, ala famed renaissance man Mac Blackout (synths/horns/electronics), Przemyslaw Krys Drazek (trumpet) of longtime zone-jammers Drazek Fuscaldo/Mako Sica, Will MacLean on Moog keytar (! - of local Silver vocoder-ed Apples lovin' treasures Protovulcan), plus the oldest-school synthlord Bil Vermette, who's been modulating since the '70s. 'Tales From The Golden Skull is a near-concept LP (aren't they always?) that looks back at fallen friends and collaborators, and then into the unwritten golden future (as PCW himself hit the golden 50). The sonic journey dips into dark textural valleys, and chugging riffs rising to thee fiery heavens, as the thundering-but-subtle rhythm section of Jose "Beast but Best" Bernal and Rob "Dead Feathers" Rodak know when to crash and when to burn (one). Sir PCW lays down his trademark big muff-blastage and echo-cries, to channel the despair and feral bark of the mighty Vega/Hammill/Iggy/Dickie P/Haino/Mojo-Risin/Mizutani, but also knows when to shut up for some layered instrumental Embryo/Harvester/Fausty trance rock and dabbed/dubbed out "not-quite-shoegazin" calmness in the eye of the Ur-storm. This might be the most expansive, detailed yet furious PCWS LP yet, recorded at Rec Room studios with Eric Block, who has done all from a band with Sonic Youth's Steve Shelley to recorded Rhys Chatham 100+-peeps guitar orchestras. So strap the headphones on and absorb the tales of this spaced ritual-rock opus. Co-release with Feeding Tube Records. –

Las Mosquitas (“The Little Flies”) consisted of Stella Maris Conde (Pupé) on vocals and guitar, María Cristina Medina (Nita) on bass, Ana María Millán (Nené) on vocals and guitar and Beatriz Cabrera (Dina) on drums. They performed their original compositions as well as Spanish sung covers of hits from the era. Producer Ricardo Romero of pioneering rock&roll Argentinean band Los Cinco Latinos took them under his wing and secured a deal with the Music Hall label.
They toured nationally and internationally, sometimes supporting Los Cinco Latinos, other times as the main act. Not only that, but they conquered every city they performed in, they were received by fans, ambassadors, presidents and their daughters, all eager to see Las Mosquitas on stage. Tours through Panamá, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Puerto Rico, Chile, Uruguay, Brasil, Curazao and Argentina were completed with fantastic public response and TV appearances.
The “Mosquitamania” was born and a string of singles and a full album on the Music Hall label followed.
All of them are compiled here for the first time.

Las Mosquitas ("The Little Flies") consisted of Stella Maris Conde (Pup�) on vocals and guitar, Mar�a Cristina Medina (Nita) on bass, Ana Mar�a Mill�n (Nen�) on vocals and guitar and Beatriz Cabrera (Dina) on drums. They performed their original compositions as well as Spanish sung covers of hits from the era. Producer Ricardo Romero of pioneering rock&roll Argentinean band Los Cinco Latinos took them under his wing and secured a deal with the Music Hall label. They toured nationally and internationally, sometimes supporting Los Cinco Latinos, other times as the main act. Not only that, but they conquered every city they performed in, they were received by fans, ambassadors, presidents and their daughters, all eager to see Las Mosquitas on stage. Tours through Panam�, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Puerto Rico, Chile, Uruguay, Brasil, Curazao and Argentina were completed with fantastic public response and TV appearances.The "Mosquitamania" was born and a string of singles and a full album on the Music Hall label followed. All of them are compiled here for the first time. Some will know this moment: suddenly everything is clear. When Lulu (Electric Moon) and Oli (ex-Urlaub in Polen) bump into each other at a concert in the legendary Vortex Surfer music club in Siegen, they both know that same evening: We are a band. They tell Falko, who has just destroyed the club with his instrumental post-metal band Sarkh. Just a few months later, the first songs were arranged during the first rehearsals - fragments of poetry and word play written by Oli, melodiclines and ideas that were taken up by the band and subsidized and refined on the respective instruments. The debut 'White Clouds' was created in less than a year - recorded, mixed and mastered in Falko's underground recording studio Institut F�rAngewandten Krach. During that time, the band attends one of the last concerts of the wonderful noise post-math rock band Shellac in Amsterdam. All three are equally deeply impressed and moved by this show and incorporate Steve Albini's spirit into their debut, which they ultimately dedicated to him. Added to this is their very own drift - pain and hope, the unconditional will of rock'n'roll, depth and steep flight, highly dynamic, playful, hypnotic-driving passages and repeated melodies with resonance, as well as the connection between the three musicians, promise a debut and live concerts with a yeah factor. –

When Lulu (Electric Moon) and Oli (ex-Urlaub in Polen) bump into each other at a concert in the legendary Vortex Surfer music club in Siegen, they both know that same evening: We are a band. They tell Falko, who has just destroyed the club with his instrumental post-metal band Sarkh. Just a few months later, the first songs were arranged during the first rehearsals - fragments of poetry and word play written by Oli, melodiclines and ideas that were taken up by the band and subsidized and refined on the respective instruments. The debut 'White Clouds' was created in less than a year - recorded, mixed and mastered in Falko's underground recording studio Institut F�rAngewandten Krach. During that time, the band attends one of the last concerts of the wonderful noise post-math rock band Shellac in Amsterdam. All three are equally deeply impressed and moved by this show and incorporate Steve Albini's spirit into their debut, which they ultimately dedicated to him. Added to this is their very own drift - pain and hope, the unconditional will of rock'n'roll, depth and steep flight, highly dynamic, playful, hypnotic-driving passages and repeated melodies with resonance, as well as the connection between the three musicians, promise a debut and live concerts with a yeah factor. –
