Ferdinando Romano
Italian doublebass player, composer and improviser born in 1983 in Benevento.
He studied with some of the biggest names in bass at Florence and Lugano’s Conservatoires whilst, at the same time, studying at both Valdarno & Sienna Jazz schools and privately with musicians including Ares Tavolazzi, Marco Panascia, Joe Martin, Joe Sanders, Furio di Castri and Sergio Bellotti (Berklee College of Music). He collaborated with many musicians of the Italian and international scene like Ralph Alessi, Enrico Rava, Robin Eubanks, Benny Golson, Glenn Ferris, Logan Richardson, Jon Boutellier, Alan Benzie, Maurizio Giammarco, Nico Gori, Fabrizio Puglisi, Mauro Grossi, Andrea Melani, Bernardo Guerra, Cristiano Arcelli, Francesco, Carlo Atti, Andrea Beneventano, Francesco Lento, Simone Alessandrini, Valerio Vantaggio, Aldo Bassi, Achille Succi, Fabio Morgera, Ettore Bonafè, Giulio Stracciati, Leonardo Radicchi, Giovanni Paolo Liguori and many more.
