Hungarian railways (Magyar Államvasutak) symphonic orchestra created in 1945 in Budapest by the Hungarian railways CEO László Varga.
First conductor was Tibor Szöke, followed by Miklós Lukács, István Pécsi, Géza Oberfrank, Ferenc Nagy, Mark Gorenstein, Tamás Gál, Imre Kollár and Gábor Takács-Nagy.
