MESSA emerged the first day of 2014. Mark Sade (the Sade, Sultan Bathery) and Sara (Restos Humanos) started to develop a concept and writing songs. later on, Mistyr (Nox interitus)and Albert (Incolti, Douge) joined the band, and with them all started to have a real shape.Four different personalities with a diverse musical background mixed together : prog, black metal, punk, dark ambient, rock n'roll and doom. all those influences have been channelledinto a sonic cauldron that the band defines "Scarlet Doom"."Belfry" is the debut album of MESSA, mixing dark ambient drones with vintage heavy occult doom and mesmerizing female vocals, influenced by Pentagram, Bellwitch, Windhand, JexThoth, Sabbath Assembly, Bathory.
