About This Recording
This Soundstream digital recording was made direct to two-channel at the Utah Symphony Orchestra's acoustically-acclaimed Symphony Hall in Salt Lake City on July 19-20, 1983. Four Schoeps CMC 3U microphones with MK-2 capsules provided by the principal pickup, deployed across the front of the orchestra at a height of ten feet. AKG 414's as well as Neumann KM-86's were discreetly employed as "sweeteners". Monitors for the sessions were ADS BC-8's.
