Christoph Poppen
Christoph Poppen (born 9. March 1956 in Münster) is a German conductor and violinist. From 1996 to 2000 he was director of the Hochschule für Musik \„Hanns Eisler\“ Berlin, now he is professor in Munich. He was the principal conductor of the Münchener Kammerorchester and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern. He is married to the soprano Juliane Banse.
