Månegarm

Månegarm
Black/Folk Metal unit Månegarm was originally formed as Antikrist in Sweden in 1995 by Sven Rosendal (vocals), Jonas Almquist (guitar) and Pierre Wilhelmsson (bass). They soon joined by Mårten Matsson (guitar) and Erik Grawsiö (drums) and had a complete line-up. Shortly after the name was changed to Månegarm and in 1996 they recorded their first demo, "Vargaresa". After the release Mårten Matsson and Sven Rosendal left the band and were replaced by Markus Andé (guitar) and Jonny Wranning (vocals).

Before the band entered the studio, Wranning had called and wanted to quit the band. The band managed to make him participate on the second demo. "Ur Nattvindar" was then released in 1997 and shortly after Gogge joined the band as the new vocalist. They were also signed to Displeased Records. At the end of the year Viktor Hemgren replaced Gogge and the band then recorded their first full-length album, "Nordstjärnans Tidsålder", in 1998. "Havets Vargar" followed in 2000, but featured drummer Erik Grawsiö as the vocalist since Hemgren was fired.

"Dödsfärd" came in 2003.
