Robert Aitken is a Canadian Flutist, Composer, Conductor, Professor, and an Artist Director (born August 28, 1939 in Kentville, Nova Scotia).

Robert Aitken, one of the world’s famous flute players, is known for new music flute solos, his close professional relationship with Marcel Moyse and composing music for the flute. Along with teaching masterclasses for flutists, composing and soloing with orchestras across the globe, his 70+ CD recordings rival those of James Galway and continue to sell extensively worldwide.
Married to pianist Marion Ross.
Formed the Lyric Arts Trio in 1964 with Marion Ross and Mary Morrison
