Suidakra

Suidakra
Suidakra was originally formed as Gloryfication in Germany in 1994 by Arkadius Antonik (guitar, vocals, keyboard) and Stefan Möller (drums, vocals). After several line-up problems and two demo releases Daniela Voigt (keyboard), Marcel Schoenen (guitar) and Christoph Zacharowski (bass) was brought into the band and the name was changed to Suidakra. The demo "Suidakra Dawn" was then released in 1995 and in 1997 the self-produced album, "Lupine Essence", was released. This lead to a deal with Last Episode.

In 1998 the band recorded the second album, "Auld Lang Syne", and shortly after the release Zacharowski left the band and was replaced by Nils Broß. Several festivals followed and in 1999 the third album, "Lays From Afar", was recorded and released. The following year the fourth album, "The Arcanum", was released and Germano Sanna replaced Marcel Schoenen as he decided only to write lyrics. After a few live shows in 2001, F. T. replaced Nils and Marcel Schoenen also decided to participate on the next album. Dani and Möller left the band and one day later Lars Wehner (drums) was recruited.

In 2002 the band was signed to Century Media. "Emprise to Avalon" was then released and Marcus Riewaldt (bass) was recruited and Marcel Schoenen also became live guitarist once again. In 2003 "Signs for the Fallen" was released and several tours and festivals followed. Sky (guitar), who only played in 2003 as a live member, left the band before the end of the year. In 2004 Matthias joined the band as live guitarist.
