James Brown discovered Martha High in 1966 as she was busy touring with the The Jewels, a famous female vocal group from the 1960s. Martha High, after spending 25 years on stage with James Brown as main feminine chorist, leads the Maceo Parker backing vocal team since 1988. April 2008: A live album recorded with the Shaolin Temple Defenders, the Soul Funk French revelation that accompanied her on 60 dates. From this collaboration the Album W.O.M.A.N was born, a real jewel!
