LP reissue of the essential first album of the French electro-dub pioneers Zenzile's first album, after the Dub Promozione EP, Sachem in Salem was, when it was released in March 1999, a small bomb in the French underground music world. When it was released in March 1999, the French dub scene was still in its infancy and it is no exaggeration to say that the record was one of its founding stones. What would later be known as the French live dub scene, so characteristic and promising, was born at that time, at the crossroads of the 20th and 21st centuries. It is the musical identity of the group that is forged here and that will serve as a basis for all the albums to come. It's also a definition (among others) of live dub, which is now beginning to be considered as a musical style in its own right and no longer as a sub-genre of reggae.
